President's Welcome
The Ontario Association of General Surgeons was established to promote the interests of all general surgeons within Ontario, whether they practice in a major urban area or a rural/remote community. We endeavour to fulfill this goal with strong representation in the poltical arena of the OMA and advising in the best interests of our members. We also endeavour to fulfill this goal by establishing a relevant education meeting. After 30 years, our rebranded OAGS Surgical Symposium has always been a venue to bring practical, useful and up to date knowledge to our members, as well as keeping them informed of the political situation and negotiations. This year will be no different, as the organizing committee has assembled an excellent variety of speakers, whom you will not want to miss! I look forward to seeing you there.

Commemorative Anniversary Pin
To mark our 30th Anniversary, OAGS will be giving our OAGS Members and registrants a limited edition commemorative lapel pin at the registration desk upon check-in during our 2026 OAGS Surgical Symposium. Be sure to join us Saturday, November 7 at the Hilton Toronto Hotel.

The next OAGS board election is slated for Saturday, November 7, 2026. There will be at least 1-2 vacancies. Any current Active/Associate OAGS members interested in submitting their name for election can do so here: NOMINATION FORM.
